I got to shoot Jamie and Marla’s intimate Lago Vista Ceremony in February. It was a misty, drizzly day outside but that didn’t stop the celebration at Jamie’s family home and we still got some incredible pictures outside!
The couple got ready at the house and chose to both wear black and white. Their outfits were coordinated, but unique to each of them. Jamie wore a sequined top with a blazer and slacks along with the most stunning floral headpiece. Marley chose a black, velvety top and gorgeous white tulle skirt. They chose to carry a beautifully full bouquet down the aisle.
We were able to take some great first look pictures outside. I always love watching couples see each other for the first time! The weather held off long enough for us to take some shots by a stone building and in a small field (check out some other awesome outdoor locations here!). They were clearly so in love and laughed a lot during our time together. It was so cute!
One of my favorite parts of their small ceremony was all the personal touches they added to their day. They set up a “tattoo parlor” where guests could adorn themselves with temporary, pride-inspired tattoos and the couple wore some, too! Get inspired for your own tattoo parlor here. They also had a paint station set up where guests could all contribute to a community piece of art for the couple.
They did almost everything themselves since it was a super small wedding with less than twenty people. The vibe they created was so warm and fun! Jamie and Marley, thank you for allowing me to capture your intimate Lago Vista ceremony. It was an honor to celebrate with you!
